Cabbie's Complaint

Dear Mom and Dad,

I hope this letter finds you happier than I am, because I have a bone to pick with Lucy! You see what I did there? And she thinks she is the smart one! Ha!

But I digress. Let me explain.

Yesterday’s breakfast contest was rigged! Lucy enjoyed the spoils of victory, but I was the rightful winner. Not fair!

You see, what the lady failed to notice, was that before I ate half of my breakfast, I devoured Lucy’s! Aha! There you have it.

Oh! Wait! Did I just inadvertently confess? Curses! Foiled again!

Ugh! OK. Perhaps the day will take a turn for the better!

Love,

Cabbie 🐾❤️😘

Lucy wants me to tell you hi. But since I’m not speaking to her, she will have to tell you herself. Harrumph!

Lucy Wins!

Mom! Mom! Mom! Dad! Dad! Dad!

 It's me again!

Last night the lady told us that whoever is first to finish breakfast this morning gets to write today's letter. I won! I won! I won!

Hmmmm….. What to say? What to say?

I’ve been a very good girl! Just ask the lady!

 Don’t ask Cabbie because she's a tattletale.

The lady told me that you may not get my letter right  away because you are at sea. I'm not gonna lie. That scared me!

But then she explained that you are on a big boat. Phew! OK, so please stay on the boat. I think that’s best. And you know how smart I am.

I love you lots and lots. Uh oh! I have to go! Cabbie is almost on the lady’s lap and getting way too much attention.

 Love,

 Lucy πŸΎπŸ’“

 Hey! What about meeeee?

I Love Lucy

Hi Mom! Hi Dad!

It’s me! Lucy!

We're having fun! Yesterday we met the little girl next-door and she says we're adorable. Duh! 😳

And guess what? Guess what? This morning, the lady let us have coffee with her on the patio.

Uh oh. Wait a minute. Cabbie says to tell you that we had Bully Sticks instead of coffee. As if!

I miss you so much! Love you, love you, love you!❤️😘🐾

Your favorite dogter, πŸ˜‡

Sheesh Cabbie! Don't look at me like that  Some big sisters just can't take a joke!

Cabbie's First Letter

Dear Mom and Dad,

Since I am the oldest, I will be the one to write to you. If Lucy is a good girl, I might let her write on another day.

So far, we are doing well. This morning, I got to sit on the couch next to the lady while Lucy was going to town on her bone.

True to form, as soon as she finished hers, Lucy promptly poached the bone buried in my bed and carried it to the couch. But don't worry! When she wasn't looking, I put my proverbial paw down and retrieved my bone.

Alas! My victory was fleeting. The entire time I chewed, Lucy fixed a steady gaze upon me. I ask you! How is a girl supposed to enjoy a treat, when her kid sister is looking at her with puppy dog eyes?

Even so, I have been taking very good care of her. As you can see from this picture, I watch over her when she is sleeping.

The lady told me that she is in awe of my gentleness and patience with Lucy and frankly, so am I! πŸ˜‡

We all had a nice nap this afternoon on the couch. Lucy got the primo real estate right next to the lady, but I’ll be faster next time.

We love and miss you, but we’re good. I can tell the lady likes us!

Lucy says “Hi!”

Love,

Cabbie 🐾❤️😘

Cavapoo Times Two: The Adventures of Cabbie and Lucy

Lady's NoteCabbie, a white Cavapoo, was 2 years old and Lucy, her beige sister was 9 months during their first visit to The Lady’s Camp. No two dogs had ever been such fun!

A cautious pup, Cabbie warmed to me at her own pace.  After a couple of hours, and in the sweetest way, she let down her guard. This beautiful pup sat close to me and gently smacked me with her paw. Dog speak for,
“pet me.”

I responded with gentle neck scratches and was immediately reprimanded with another paw smack when I dared to stop.

Lucy, on the other hand, loves at first sight Executing an impressive helicopter move, she immediately jumped into my lap. She is friendly, fearless and deliberate. Lucy has a basket of toys from which she chooses her momentary favorite with remarkable regularity. In fact it's impossible to tell which delights her more: Playing with her toys, or choosing them.

Like most sisters, despite the difference in their personalities, they truly love each other. They love to snuggle, walk and pee together.  But mostly they love to play.

The enthusiasm with which they tore through my house, barking, jumping and wrestling, brought me endless joy. And I have the videos to prove it!
